hmm...I like his highlight packages better.

He's got the best pace, handles, dekes, dribbles, touch, sharp-shooting and control in the game. Nobody is even close.

Well there's a guy I'll never be playing Pele with.

Also I'm almost certain that was the exact imagery going through Led Zepplin's mind when they wrote / stole the idea for Kashmir.

Messi is lucky to be playing in La Liga though, compared to a more physical BPL. He has the skill no doubt, the best of this generation (eat a dick Ronaldo you cry baby). But he plays in a less physical league, and he also plays for Barcelona. he's surrounded by talent. If he won a World Cup he'd be undoubtedly heralded for many generations. When Barcelona and Real Madrid stop running away in points La Liga will be more interesting.

Atletico Madrid won La Liga last year if I'm not mistaken but I do agree with it being a less physical league, although just because someone is surrounded in talent won't make them play better, take Falcao at Man United or Every Liverpool signing this year.

Would be great to see Messi in the PL but he'll probably go to Chelsea or Man City as they would be the only ones who could afford it.

You are right, Atletico did win La Liga last year. But since 2004-2005 it's been the Real Madrid and Barcelona show, with it's only guest being Villarreal in 2008 up until now. More competition is good for the leagues, otherwise they wouldn't be interesting. Like the Bundesliga. How boring it must be to be FC Bayern.

I'm not saying being surrounded by talent makes him better, but it certainly doesn't hurt him either. Of course, there needs to be a coach that can coach the talent and make them play as a team. In terms of United under LVG, there have been games when they've looked very fluid and have dominated halves but not entire games. Falcao... I'd really like to believe it's the injury. I'm glad he's with United (because yes I am Red Devils fan been one since I was a kid) but I really would like to see him score more. It just seems there's a lack of confidence to go out there and play, run at defenders and I'm not sure if that's LVG's system or the players lack confidence. Of course playing them out of position doesn't help either. But when you've only scored 36 goals with the likes of Angel Di Maria, Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie, Juan Mata, and Radamel Falcao somethings not right.
