Kovalchuk to play with kings?!?!?!?!

wow kovalchuck, Kopitar ...legion of doom remake, if kovie hasn't lost his edge.

you'd think!...he's not a proven winner at $11M similar to mcdavid at $12M? At least Karlsson made it to Conf.final.

Would have been better if it was $9-9.5M with bonsues for conf.final or cup final.
I prefer our current trio of Marner, Nylander & Matthews, and the Tavares signing will only be good if they can resign the Trio the next 2 years...unless they are preparing for Matthews exodus to Arizona. Matthews is probably looking at $10-11M if he leads us to at least a 2nd-rnd appearance the next 2 years (esp with more powerplay time now that JVR & bozak left.) ...and Marner is our firestarter looking at $7-8M . Also we'll probably end up lossing Brown or Hyman liek pittsburghs lost Sheary (thought they signed Rust)

We still have Horton & Lupul and Kessel on teh books (can't believe that $1.2M is still in teh books after he won 2 cups).

...AND we can't afford a defenceman now...unless gardiner takes a paycut. Or Marleau leaves next year ...or we make a crack deal at tradedeadline.

Guess it'll be worth it if we make 2 semis and at least conf.final the next 2 years.

Articles say Nylander has the better stats to play with Tavares , but that line woudl be D-challenged.
People were afraid to let Kessel walk...if Kapanen burns out this year than we should let him walk and keep the $$$M.

STL getting Perron, Reilly & Bozak ...
and still have Steen, Tzar, Schenn, Schwartz, Fabbri
Wonder whta lines they'll throw out.
is their goalie any good.

Allen is mediocre. He can play great, and he can play terrible. he has horrible positioning and is over aggressive. They had to get Brodeur to coach him to get him to play better. I honestly think he should've remained his coach.
